FBI AND JPSO SEEK PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN THE IDENTITY AND LOCATION OF BANK ROBBER

James Bernazzani, Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Division of the FBI and Sheriff Harry Lee, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, announce today’s Omni Bank robbery at 5249 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, Louisiana.

At approximately 12:15 pm today, a heavy set white male entered the bank, approached a teller presenting a demand note and implied he had a weapon. The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money and was seen fleeing westbound on Veterans Blvd.

The robber, depicted in the attached image from the bank surveillance video, is described as follows: a white male with grey hair, approximately 6’0” and 240 pounds, mid 50s, wearing a dark blue baseball cap, grey t-shirt, faded jeans, and dark shoes.

The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000. for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 504-816-3000.
