MAN SENTENCED TO OVER 5 YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR RECEIVING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IMAGES NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA -STEVEN L. JOHNSON, age 57, a resident of Covington, Louisiana, was sentenced yesterday by U. S. District Judge Mary Ann Vial Lemmon to seventy (70) months imprisonment, followed by five (5) years of supervised release, for his conviction for receipt of child pornography, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten. STEVEN L. JOHNSON was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in March, 2007 and entered a plea of guilty on June 21, 2007 . According to a court documents, JOHNSON knowingly received and possessed images of child pornography that he obtained over the internet. FBI agents executed a search warrant on his residence on March 12, 2007 . JOHNSON was charged with possessing both computer files and hardware that allegedly contained images of child pornography and images from his home computer. This investigation was conducted by Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The prosecution was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Brian M. Klebba, Project Safe Childhood Coordinator .
